Non-Haida Tattoos

Before I started having Haida tattoos I had a few now called Old Skool, then New Skool, tattoos done on my arms. I was 17 or 18 years old when I had my first tattoo done. These Old Skool tattoos have recently been recoloured and slightly altered to look "modern". The skull and crossbones was originally supposed to have a sun above it but I decided to add a yin and yang symbol instead.

About 8 years ago I got back into tattooing and had some kanji symbols done on my arms.
The kanji is accompanied by 2 scorpions.

The Kanji on my left arm has the meanings:
  • Faith
  • England
  • Harmony
The Kanji on my right arm has the meanings:
  • Ox (my chinese horocope)
  • Strength
The most recent tattoos I have had done are Maori. I just love the design and the fact that all of it has meaning to the Maori, simular to the Haida. The elaborate design around my neck was done by a guest tattooist from New Zealand, a Moari herself.
