Back Piece In Progress

In time, I decided my back needed a bigger piece on it. I added a butterfly, a dragonfly, a bumblebee and a ladybug. Above the plant is the sun with its rays and below it the word "HAIDA". On my arms you see a sneaky peek of my Haida Men.

For about two years I thought this was the finished article. But...... NO! "A space here, and a space there, they need to be filled." Because I was unable to find more insect designs I liked I decided to design some more myself. As with the ladybug I am unsure whether the Haida attribute any meaning to the wasp, beetle and spider. I had a short video made of the tattooing of these additions. Click here to view. With the additions made to the backpiece I decided that the 2 kankji symbols did not fit in anymore, they distracted the eyes from the rest of the back piece. They were covered up with two extra flowers.
