Hi, my name is Kevin and I am from the UK but now live in the Netherlands. I wanted to make this website so I could show everyone the tattoos that decorate my body. Apart from some tattoos I had done when I was a teenager, all my tattoos are Northwest Coast inspired. All these tattoos were done at Tattoo Studio Almere in the Netherlands, by Tattoo John.

When I first started with this style of tattoos I wasn't aware of the large amount of variety of Northwest Coast native art. As the art of a number of tribes is very similar (to the untrained eye) I thought all the tattoos I was having done were Haida. However, I do not only have Haida tattoos but I have a few Tlingit, Tsimshian and Kwakwaka'wakw tattoos also.

Based on what I've read in books and on the internet I have a fascination with the Haida in particular. Haida are an indian tribe that live on Queen Charlotte Islands off the North West Coast of Canada. I have never been to Queen Charlotte Islands, or Haida Gwaii as the Haida call it, but have been inspired by the way they lived and by their art. I hope to visit Queen Charlotte Islands in the future. Coincidentally, I was born in Queen Charlotte Hospital in London.
